What makes a great bff

Strong friendship is a two-way street, where there is a healthy give and take between you. I never thought I would blog on being a great friend.

But I am amazed how many people call my show, Dawson McAllister Live, who down deep are lonely and need a good friend. The fact of the matter is we are all wired for meaningful relationships. Studies show if you have good friends throughout your life, you will live longer. There is a lot of truth behind the common saying, In order to have a great friend, you must first be one. Here are some qualities of a great friend.

It takes a lot of work and commitment to be a great friend. Ask questions to get a sense of the problem or issue, but the main thing is to listen to them. Once you get the thumbs up, hug away! Hugging your friends can be a great way to show you care for them. Physical contact can be comforting, especially when someone feels alone.

So, go for it! It's not always easy to find the right place to start. Even if you have your bad days, positivity is a good trait to have in a friendship. Investing time, talent, AND resources into a friendship can pay off in huge dividends. If you want to develop better friendships, these 10 qualities of a good friend are so important.
